Hello everyone. Hope you’re staying safe despite the goings-on in the world.
Just a few updates on the writing. The cover art for the first book of The Starsea Cycle, now titled The Mages of Starsea, is nearly done! It looks AWESOME. And yes, that word is deserving of full capitalization. It will be out in both e-book and paperback in (most likely) mid-December everywhere e-books are sold. Audiobook production is contingent on the reception of the series and whether I can afford it. So hopefully it sells a load of copies!
Once the cover art is done, the book will be going out to my beta reading/ARC team. After that’s done, it’s on to the final formatting and uploading the book to all the stores. Book Two, The Orb of Binding, will be available for pre-order the same day, and will be coming out in late January. According to my dad, the only one who’s read it so far, it’s the best thing I’ve ever written, and I think he may be right. Not to hype it too much :).
I’m working on Book 3 right now, about 10,000 words in. My hope is that one can come out in February or early March. And then I’ll be writing like a madman to get the rest out. As insane as it sounds, I foresee twelve books in this series. I definitely have the material to write it, so it’s all about writing every day to get to that point.
I have a very strong feeling about this series. I’ve poured a lot of work into it, and I hope that lives to bear fruit. I can’t wait to reveal the cover, but that will come sometime later this month.
In other news, I’ve submitted the audiobook files for Lost Angel. Once the last four books are finished up, that will mean every Wasteland book is in audio format. The narrator did such a good job so I’m hoping that it will be a hit for audiobook fans.
Anyway, that’s all I had to report. Stay safe out there.
